It’s 2009 and We’re NOT DEAD YET!
Happy 2009!
Check out the NDY (Not Dead Yet) poster that my friend and paparazzi /photographer extraordinaire Marcia Erickson made.
Not bad, heh? You can just tell the geek on the far left is a pastor and theologian who is obsessed with things like practicing the presence, Plutarch’s non-sequential view of eternity and the logic of might-propositions, can’t you? Duh!
Anyway, NDY will be rock’n the house once again as a fund raiser for Providence Ministries supporting kids in Haiti on Friday, January 9th at The Dugout in Mahtomedi, MN. We’ll be joined by a new R&B Group formed by the worship pastor of Woodland Hills Church, Norm Blagman. His band is called Kingdom and this is their debut. The long-term goal of this band is to play at local clubs as a relational evangelism strategy (a strategy I picked up from missionaries in Europe while speaking at a conference in Hungary last summer). I can guarantee you these guys are going to be great.
NDY will play from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Kingdom will play from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. It’ll be a blast. If you’re in or around the Twin Cities, come check us out.
Meantime, I hope you get this new year off to a good start. Stay centered moment-by-moment in God’s ever-present love. And, of course, ponder how Plutarch’s non-sequential view of eternity logically works against a relational, personalistic view of God as well as a warfare worldview .
We’ll talk about this next post.
Bye.
