From the Sermon Archives: Stick & String

Since Greg didn’t preach this last Sunday, we thought we would feature something special from the Woodland Hills archives. God’s will for us is first and foremost about who we are and not what we do. God’s original design was to express his beauty to this world through us, but that requires us to receive who we are from him. In this sermon, Greg talks about his experiences as a little boy and how his interaction with God has shaped his understanding of who he is today. You can access the MP3 and video formats of the sermon along with other sermon resources such as study questions here.

After you’ve listened to the sermon, we invite you to share your thoughts with the rest of the ReKnew community on our Facebook page, or send us your questions here!

A Step Toward Racial Reconciliation

Sermon Clip: Twisted Scripture 1 Timothy 2:12

1 Timothy 2:12 has been used over the years to keep women from teaching or preaching theology and being in positions of leadership within a church. When looked at within its historical and cultural context, however, we find Paul’s restriction on women was due to specific cultural problems that no longer apply to educated women…

Lab Rats No More

Is this threat to Christianity something we are completely ok with? In this sermon clip, Greg Boyd asks that very question. In American culture, we are constantly being told to buy products and be discontent with our current situation. Like lab rats, we are constantly stimulated and tested to change our situation. Greg speaks to…
