Calling all ReKnew friends in D.C.!
A member of our board (Joel Pilger) is developing a video for ReKnew and he needs some volunteers this Saturday. Here’s what he had to say:
I’ll be shooting in DC this Saturday morning. I need a few ReKnew fans and/or supporters that would be willing to appear on camera holding up Manifesto statements.Who am I looking for specifically? CHARACTERS! Meaning, people that stand out visually / are not generic. For example, just imagine something like:
- An older black couple standing on the steps of the Capitol, holding up signs:
- “DON’T CONFUSE THE KINGDOM OF GOD”
- “WITH THE KINGDOM OF THE WORLD”
- Several skateboarders standing in front of a picket line of angry protesters, holding up signs:
- “GET YOUR LIFE FROM CHRIST”
- “NOT FROM THE RIGHTNESS OF YOUR BELIEFS”These are just examples. I’m open to suggestions / alternatives / ideas.
Thomas Hawk via Compfight Our good friend Jessica Kelley wrote this blog featuring sermons from Mark Moore about what God is really like. It’s a timely piece since Jessica is going to be preaching at Woodland Hills Church this weekend, and Mark Moore is attending the upcoming ReKnew conference and will be hosting a get-together with…
Whereas most Christians place the revelation of God in Christ alongside of other portraits of God and end up with an amalgamated image of God, we at ReKnew encourage believers to base their understanding of God completely on Christ, and especially on Christ crucified. Here’s all of the videos of the speakers and their Q&A’s from Open2013. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and we didn’t get Jessica Kelley’s presentation taped. We’re working to get her to speak again so we can get that to you. Thanks for posting this on youtube T. C.! And now, without further ado… Greg…

In essence, this is how Calvinism views God’s role in any instance of radical evil (quoted from the Desiring God article): But, of course, the Bible says more than…
In many ways, the ReKnew website has become something like an introductory systematic theology resource centered around the beautiful God we find in Jesus. It is a resource that helps us rethink twelve core theological convictions. ReKnew invites you to: ReThink the Source of Life ReThink the Nature of Faith ReThink Our Picture of God…
