Calling all ReKnew friends in D.C.!

A member of our board (Joel Pilger) is developing a video for ReKnew and he needs some volunteers this Saturday. Here’s what he had to say:

I’ll be shooting in DC this Saturday morning. I need a few ReKnew fans and/or supporters that would be willing to appear on camera holding up Manifesto statements.

Who am I looking for specifically? CHARACTERS!  Meaning, people that stand out visually / are not generic. For example, just imagine something like:
  • An older black couple standing on the steps of the Capitol, holding up signs:
    • “DON’T CONFUSE THE KINGDOM OF GOD”
    • “WITH THE KINGDOM OF THE WORLD”
  • Several skateboarders standing in front of a picket line of angry protesters, holding up signs:
    • “GET YOUR LIFE FROM CHRIST”
    • “NOT FROM THE RIGHTNESS OF YOUR BELIEFS”
These are just examples. I’m open to suggestions / alternatives / ideas.
If you’re willing to help Joel out you can contact him via Facebook or Twitter here:

What Does God Look Like?

Reflections on the Supremacy of Christ (Part 2)

Whereas most Christians place the revelation of God in Christ alongside of other portraits of God and end up with an amalgamated image of God, we at ReKnew encourage believers to base their understanding of God completely on Christ, and especially on Christ crucified. And we encourage disciples to work to reinterpret through the lens…

We’re working to get her to speak again so we can get that to you. Thanks for posting this on youtube T. C.! And now, without further ado… Greg…

A Calvinist Take on the Problem of Evil

Carnie Lewis via Compfight Here’s a Calvinist view on the problem(s) of evil in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings. It’s the old God-as-author analogy. In essence, this is how Calvinism views God’s role in any instance of radical evil (quoted from the Desiring God article): But, of course, the Bible says more than…

It is a resource that helps us rethink twelve core theological convictions. ReKnew invites you to: ReThink the Source of Life ReThink the Nature of Faith ReThink Our Picture of God…
