Hmmmm, What’s This Tube-Shaped Package at my Front Door?

6If you live in the United States and are expecting a ReKnew Manifesto poster you should be getting it anytime now. If you live in another country, it will take a little longer to get there, but they’re all on their way. We just wanted to give you a heads-up that this poster is letter-pressed old-style and it’s normal to have variations in the density of color and some tiny imperfections. It’s kind of artsy and special that way. We hope you all enjoy it.

We’d also like to invite you to share stories with us about the ways this poster impacts you and the people around you. We’re hoping this poster and it’s message function as more than decoration.

Again, for the time being, this poster is a gift to those who support us with a monthly donation of $25 or more. If you’d like to support us in this way, you can go here for more information, or you can watch this video to see what all the fuss is about.

Our Commitment to Love (and Avoiding Theological Idolatry)

Given that we have just launched ReKnew, I thought it would be helpful to spend a good portion of our initial blogs unpacking the theological vision of ReKnew. Our goal is to post content to the site at least three or four times a week, with two of these posts (on average) being fresh content from me addressing particular theological topics. The other posts will be things such as videos, quotes of the day, featured articles from elsewhere on the web questions from readers, and so on.

Before I begin unpacking ReKnew’s theological vision in subsequent posts, however, today I want to offer four preliminary words about the theological convictions I’ll be espousing.

Here’s what he had to say: I’ll be shooting in DC this Saturday morning. I need a few ReKnew fans and/or supporters that would be willing to appear on camera holding up Manifesto statements.   Who am I looking…

Why Bart Ehrman Doesn’t Have to Ruin Your Christmas (Or Your Faith) Part 8

This is the eighth of several videos Greg put together to refute Bart Ehrman’s claims published in the article What Do We Really Know About Jesus? In this segment, Greg gets into the nitty gritty of why portions of the birth account are not the dumbest lie ever. If you missed the first seven installments you can…

Conflicting Pictures of God

In my ongoing reflections on the ReKnew Manifesto, I’ve spent the last two posts (here and here) arguing that nothing is more important in our life than our mental images of God. If so, then the all-important question is: what authority do we trust to tell us what God is like? To most evangelicals, the…

Happy Birthday to Us

A♥ via Compfight It’s hard to believe, but it was on this day (June 30) one year ago that we launched the ReKnew website. Happy Birthday ReKnew!! As reflected in the ReKnew Manifesto, our goal is to stimulate Christians to rethink foundational aspects of the faith they embrace and to motivate skeptics to take a…
